Architopia, a (true) place for architecture
 
Architopia 1 (March 2007, Tongji University, Shanghai) and Architopia 2 (April 2008, CIVA, Brussels) were two moments where the challenging question of "Where and what is the true territory of architects and planners in our global village?" has been raised and addressed to young contemporary architects respectively from Belgium and China.
 
Organized by Brussels Export and Shanghai Tongji Urban Planning and Design Institute in partnership with major institutional, professional, academic andmedia resources from both China and Belgium, the two years cross-event aimed in promoting the works and professional exchanges between emerging talents in architecture and urban planning, through exhibitions, lectures, panel discussions and business match-making.
 
High profile lectures, passionate talks, unique professional exchanges and exclusive architectural visits have taken place in both countries, with equal interest and enthusiasm from both the 10 Belgian + 10 Chinese architectural teams.
 
May Architopia be a place where those questionings and debates could continue to take place beyond this concluding event.
